
Sam Walters is an Associate at Avalon Growth Capital, supporting the execution of investment banking and capital advisory mandates across sustainable agriculture, food processing, and asset-backed real asset businesses. He is actively involved across the full transaction lifecycle, including financial modeling, valuation and capital structure analysis, diligence execution, and preparation of investor and lender materials for both debt and equity financings.
Sam has supported live mergers and acquisitions, leveraged finance transactions, and capital raises for middle-market companies. His experience includes building fully integrated operating and transaction models, evaluating financing alternatives across pro-rata and institutional debt markets, preparing confidential information memoranda and lender presentations, and supporting sponsor and investor outreach processes. His work includes detailed capital structure analysis, pro forma modeling, lender benchmarking, and assessment of financing terms to support transaction structuring and negotiation. Sam regularly supports the development of investment materials used in both live deal execution and new business development efforts.
Sam has also supported proprietary sourcing initiatives, diligence processes, and investment committee materials, evaluating opportunities across agribusiness, food processing, renewable energy, specialty manufacturing, and industrial end markets. His experience emphasizes businesses supported by hard assets, contracted revenues, and defensible regional supply dynamics.
Sam holds a Bachelor of Science in Corporate Finance and Accounting and brings strong technical capabilities in financial modeling, valuation, and transaction execution to Avalon’s investment banking platform. Sam has passed the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) examination and is currently in the process of obtaining his Series 63, Series 7, and Series 79 registrations.
